There are times that you fail to explore places that are very near your vicinity and often neglect its worth. This is the case of this concealed and underrated restaurant which I happen to know through a tarp Ad while riding a tricycle in Lapu-Lapu City.

This place was very so familiar to me because meters away from our house and this restaurant was really captured everytime i passed this place because the natavity is their.

I must say this Pinoy Restaurant which have been around for quite sometime deserves to be revisited and given full attention not just by local residents but also tourists, foodie and non-foodie alike.

Even thou i haven't visited this place but i do believe that the service is really good that can satisfy you as a customer and also i do believe that  the foods they served is really delicious.

Their  special dish have to be Salmon Panga soup, Baked Scallops and Chicken Halang-halang.

JOED's Lutong Hapon
Do you have an insatiable appetite for Japanese food? If so, then JOED’s Lutong Hapon should be your next chow destination. Not only do they serve authentic Japanese dishes, they also come at very affordable prices. Truly, JOED’s Lutong Hapon continues to imprint a good reputation among locals and tourists alike, who have genuine fondness for authentic Japanese food.
Dating back to 2009, optimistic owners Joan and Edgar introduced their signature Beef Gyudon and Sukiyakidon dishes at JOED’s first mini restaurant (“carinderia”) in Mabolo. Much to their delight, these dishes clicked well with the people, especially by the Japanese bento fanatics. With success underway, they pushed forth on bringing this fresh and unique tradition to the Cebuano community.
JOED’s variety of Japanese dishes became a steady hit more than ever to sushi-craving gastronomes. With its menu based on pure fresh ingredients that are procured abroad, customers are surely never to miss the taste of authentic Japanese cuisine. Plus, the affordable prices of their delectable Japanese dishes all the more make their place as inviting as ever.
JOED’s offers an array of Japanese dishes, which cater not just to the Japanese taste but to the Filipino tongue as well. Among the popular rice bowls are Chicken Teriyaki, Katsudon/Karegadon, Beef Gyudon, and Unagi Egg Rice Bowl. Of course, their California Crunchy Maki Roll and Crab Salmon Strawberry Maki Roll are a must-taste specialty in the house.
JOED’s Lutong Hapon is located at 257-A Don Jose Avila Street corner Maria Cristina Ext., Capitol Site, Cebu City (beside the main entrance of Sacred Heart Girls High School) and at Level 4 of the Ayala Terraces. A nice getaway adventure far out from the busy city would be best compared to going to clubs, or act like you are having dinner with friends when you are actually just staring at your phone the whole time.An experience can never be bought the same way how you can buy an overpriced gadget. A perfect vacation is remarkable and will always leave a spot on your mind or heart.

There are countless white sand beaches and more undiscovered tourist spots laying on the land of Cebu. Most people would directly go to well organized places like Bantayan or Camotes and on the South side like Santander or Argao. These places that I have mentioned are quite familiar to most people already, but little do they know that there are other towns with breathtaking spots waiting to be seen. The city that I have been trying to tell you since the start of this article is, the city of Tabuelan. It is a small town composed of twelve barangays. As for me, the barangay that has the most beautiful white sand beach is Maravilla.

If you are for a placid getaway place without having to spend too much for some fancy accommodations, then welcome to Maravilla !

The last summer we went there, we brought with us a tent, but if don't have a tent, don't worry, they have cottages for rent and some air-conditioned rooms. For you planning to visit this place, but don't have a direct contact with a local living there, I'd suggest you go straight to their barangay hall. You will be assisted there.

The peace and quite place gave me some sense of personal space. And of course the sand- yes, the sand ! There are only a few powdery beaches in Cebu where one can lie down and roll over and over without scratching the elbows or the knees for the sharp stones. And one step into the waters, there are no sea urchins and seaweeds to tackle.

Really such a lovely place, I hope that the local people see the value of what they have and unite to preserve it.

A trip to Tabuelan is really something to try. For me, my second time is difinitely not the last. I just can't seem to stop myself from going back-again and again.

ONE WAY ONLY BUDGET:
V-hire fare:140 (Ayala Terminal to Tuburan)
Tricycle:20(From Tuburan to Tabuelan)

Feeling cold from he past week's weather? Well there ain't need for worries dear. A perfect hot cafe is surely a best place to hang out!

Tazza Café seems just like an ordinary coffee shop, but its unique decor and laid back ambiance makes it a standout And look at those upside down cups for light installations. Simply adorable! I love the fact that the place isn’t too crowded even when it’s located beside the road.

Awww Isn't it cute? Coffee lovers out there what do you think? hmmm?

How about try this tomato salsa on a toasted baguette as your Starter.
Tazza Café is one of those places where you could just hang out in for ages. The pastel colored decor and quirky furniture makes the place so inviting and comfortable. And it doesn’t hurt either that they serve delicious cakes and pastries!

The interior is very pretty and chic, but at the same time very welcoming and comfortable. Staying there feels like you’re hanging out at a friend’s house, plus the staffs are very friendly and their menu items are really god too! They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all in between.

And just look at this adorable blue couch and red door combo! Perfect for Instagram shots, don't you think? By the way, I don't know where that red door leads to. I first thought that was the comfort room, but it was locked. Tho the label says it's the office, but I'm not sure. Maybe it leads to Narnia? To Hogwarts express? which one do you think? LOL

Let's get it on!
Cebu is prominent internationally not just because of its must-love beaches but also for its local delicacies. Among these world-famous palatable delights, our lechon baboy is definitely the kind worth traveling miles for.
Zubuchon is just one of many establishments selling whole roasted pig in Cebu. So, what makes Zubuchon special? For one, Anthony Bourdain, acclaimed food critic and host of , gave it the distinction of being the world's best whole roasted pig. The other reasons are what make their acupunctured roasted pig succulent and tasty. No Reservations Foremost, Zubuchon's pigs are not from commercial piggeries but are hand-picked from pigs raised in the backyards of certain individuals. They do not use MSG or commercial mixes for flavor. Instead, they use organic ingredients, including olive oil, local sea salt, homegrown lemongrass, peppers, green onions, and other herbs and spices.

Zubuchon follows the old-fashioned way of roasting pig. The pig is acupunctured and cooked manually. The pigs are staked on bamboo poles and roasted over charcoal. Compared to oven-cooked pigs or those roasted using mechanical systems, one would notice that meat roasted over charcoal usually tastes better and richer in flavor.
A kilo of Zubuchon sells for Php450.This lechon costs more than other roasted pigs for sale in Cebu but avid fans assure us that you will find the crispy blistered skin and the tender meat worth the price premium. The lechon is served fresh by Zubuchon crews. However, if you intend to bring it to other provinces as pasalubong, you can opt for the frozen lechon, which have been properly boxed up, making it more convenient to bring along as a carry-on luggage.

This lechon tasted more like lechon kawali because the skin wasn’t smooth and crispy like your regular lechon. The skin was blistered and super crispy as if it were deep fried. What I liked best was the succulent and evenly flavorful meat. I’m not a fan of lechon because the meat is usually bland. I only sometimes eat the skin if it’s crisp. This lechon I ate all the meat. The meat reminded me more lechon de leche with it’s tender and almost milky flavor.

When you enters Rodeo Grill, You will notice that the room is spacious, enough to seat for at least 30-40 people i think. They maximize the space without overcrowding. The interior of the restaurant  and the music match the concept. It gives you the sense of what to expect. And perfect for the Family and Barkada.

The staff is probably the best staff in any place. They were very accommodating and you don't need to say anything to have them get what you needed and when one enters Rodeo Grill, Rodeo Cowboys are instantly on hand, ready to serve the dinners.

Sgt. Pepper is likewise a masterpiece. Tender pork steak seasoned with cayenne and black pepper. They also got some nice sides such Cactus Kang-kong and Saddle Chicken Soup.
